advancedSpring Transactions310 of 469
Why can @Transactional fail when a method is called from another method in the same class?
Tests whether you know @Transactional relies on a dynamic proxy around the bean, and calling 'this.method()' from within the same class bypasses the proxy entirely -- the call never passes through the AOP interceptor, so no transaction is ever started.
